Game Barn retreat FAQ’s

  • Check In from 4pm and check out by 10am.

  • The Game Barn Retreat sleeps 10 maximum +1 infant in the pack ‘n’ play.

  • At the Game Barn Retreat you may have day visitors with prior arrangement, as lead booker you remain responsible for ensuring all guests follow house rules.

  • We are a no smoking house however we provide a smokers outpost in the yard so smokers can smoke outside and safely dispose of their butts.  If you are traveling with a smoker please ensure they tidy up after themselves at all times.

  • At The game Barn Retreat we allow anyone age 21+ to rent, the booker must be staying on site and responsible for the whole group (yes mom’s that means you can’t book on behalf of your under 21’s and just leave them there alone).

  • Yes we do and provide a sheet too, just bring any blankets you feel are appropriate to your little one’s age and stage. In fact we have baby proofed as much as we could with outlet covers, Pack ‘n’ Play, high chair and even a booster for those toddlers transitioning to a dining chair and provide a stick blender should you wish to make your own purees, we have wheat straw bowls, plates and cutlery too.

  • Coffee lovers will love our set up we have a state of the art espresso maker with touch screen to walk you through making your favorite coffee just like the barista at your favorite coffee shop.  Prefer drip we’ve got you and you can set it to brew at a set time in the morning too. We provide locally roasted beans to use in either machines both have a grinder to keep it fresh.  Not a coffee lover we also provide tea and in the cooler months hot chocolate, creamer singles, sugar and sweetener packets.

  • Yes we do all beds will be made ready for you with white hotel quality towels for showering plus pool towels.  The towels for the master bedroom are on the towel rail and for everyone else you’ll find a cupboard either side of the family bathroom storing bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, pool towels and grey blankets just in case it goes cool by the fire pit after dark.

  • No. Game Barn Retreat is not pet friendly and pets are not permitted at the property.

  • The Game Barn retreat has a large driveway and parking areas by the front porch large enough for 2 or 3 vehicles and also 4 or 5 at the end of the driveway if parked diagonally, vehicles must not be taken beyond the stone edging or parked on the grass at any time.

  • Yes right next to the Game Barn is the Grill Shack and bar with a stand for the provided cool box which makes it self-closing as no one like a warm beer.

  • Game Barn Retreat is located in Fischer, Texas, in the Texas Hill Country, within easy reach of Canyon Lake, Wimberley, New Braunfels and the surrounding Hill Country attractions.

  • We have multiple options for early check in and late check out, firstly we offer a half day pass for 8hrs where available for 50% of the night rate this is perfect for guests flying in for their trip or those who just want to make the most of the day. If that option was unavailable, we will let you know as soon as the team have the place ready for you we always offer an hour free of charge if you want longer there is an option to accept the fee for whatever time we’re able to offer but sorry we can’t guarantee this option will be available.

  • You can cancel your stay up to 30 days before arrival for a full refund, stays within 30 days of check in day at 4pm CT are non-refundable.

  • Yes you can, at Pathfinder Vacations all our properties are available to book for as little as 1% with the remaining balance due 30 days before you arrive giving you plenty of time to plan and save for your trip. The balance will be taken from your card automatically, if the payment is declined for any reason we will reach out to you to rectify within 24hrs, failure to make the payment will result in the cancellation of your trip.

  • Yes we have high speed wi-fi great for those wanting to work or play, on the last speed test we got 271mbps download and 264mbps upload

  • Yes, the Cowboy Pool is private to guests staying at Game Barn Retreat.

  • The Cowboy Pool is maintained at approximately 85°F year-round. Guests can request additional heating up to 104°F or cooling for a cold-plunge experience, subject to the applicable fee and 24-hour advance notice.

  • Yes. Game Barn Retreat is a single-story property with 36-inch doorways and a paved path from the parking area to the house. The property has been designed with accessibility in mind, although it is not a fully ADA-certified property. Please ask for full details to ensure this place fits your needs.

  • The Game Barn features a pool table, basketball arcade game, axe toss, a 17-foot Roku screen and yard games such as corn hole, giant jenga and yardzee with plenty of space for groups to hang out and play. Opposite the game barn is the Cowboy pool so you can watch a movie on the screen from the tub and between them is the fire pit so there’s plenty to do at the Game Barn Retreat.
